Science and Technology in St. Louis!

Welcome to the social networking site established to encourage dialogue and sharing of information about the promise and potential of science and technology in the St. Louis region. This is part of an ongoing effort led by the Saint Louis Science Center and KETC-Channel 9 that started during a symposium discussion at the conclusion of SciFest 08 where regional leader discussed the state of science and technology in the St. Louis region.

Over the past 20 plus years, the greater St. Louis region has made incredible investments and advancements in the areas of science and technology. However, despite the presence of globally recognized research centers and universities, several science and engineering focused Fortune 500 companies, and nationally modeled incubators full of promising young companies, we are still “under the radar” as a globally recognized center of excellence in the areas of science and technology, even in our own community.

So please use this site as a means to share your organizations stories and ideas so that as a region, we all begin to tout our collective accomplishments and discover better ways for us to inspire those audiences that are so important; students and young people, policy makers, minorities, the business community and general public.

Right Now, We'd Like to Know:

What are the key accomplishments of your company that should be more widely known?

Is there anything you feel is unique and noteworthy about science and technology in St. Louis that the world needs to know?

How do you share a story here?

David Nicklaus

St. Louis Post Dispatch

The site of the event, the new IT Enterprises building at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, is itself part of the… Continue
